July 2025’s Prompt

I’ve had a wonderful month. My family had time together doing some things we’ve been looking forward to. One of the things we did was go see The Wiz.

It’s always been my favorite musical. I’ve never seen the live version. It was absolutely amazing. As we were getting ready to leave my daughter said, “Why would anyone like the Wizard of Oz when this exists?”

I chuckled. I get it. I also know that one wouldn’t be here without the other one, but I one hundred percent feel the same. (Sorry if you love the Wizard of Oz).

It was not only my first time seeing it live by the traveling broadway actors, but I got to share it with my daughter. It was a really good day.

Because of all my summer fun, I’ve been slacking on my writing. Here is the prompt for this month:

“I asked her if she was joking. Her frown told me she wasn’t. “Every last penny gone,” she said. “And that’s not the worst of it,” she continued, leaning across the table…”

This was originally the prompt from August 2019. The original story was the following:

And that’s it for now! Happy reading and writing today and every day!
