It’s a new year and time to get started on new writing and life goals!
I know some people don’t like the idea of restarting just because a calendar page flipped over, but I do. Every year, I create new personal goals for myself. I don’t always finish them all, but it helps me to pace out my goals for the year and in the end, I feel like I’ve done something.
This year, here are my goals so far:
- Read 60 books
- Write 12 new short stories
- Finish part 3 and 4 of our DND campaign
- Finish and publish my latest novel
I have already finished part of one of these! I think this is a sign it’s going to be a great year!
And on that note, I’m going to continue pressing forward with my goals, so here’s the first short story prompt for the year:
A master ranger is caught in an unexpectedly sophisticated woodland trap while on patrol and must figure out a way to free herself before her would-be captors return.
This year, my goal is to write a new short story of at least 1500 words every month. I’m not reusing prompts this year. These will be all new for me!
Thanks for reading!
Happy reading and writing every day!
