New Year, New Writing Challenge

I realize January is slipping away, but I’ve finally decided what writing challenge I’m going to do this year. Like most years, I’m going to write 12 short stories, one a month (in theory), and share them here, on my blog.

Here are my new guidelines for this year’s challenge:

  1. All of the prompts will be ones that I’ve used before. Basically, I’m pulling from my old posts and seeing what kind of story I can create from a prompt that I’ve already used. The prompts I’ve used in the past are usually very open ended, so this should be interesting.
  2. Each story should be at least 1500 words.
  3. Each story should be posted the month of the challenge (if you follow me, you know I usually get behind, but that’s life, right?)
  4. Have fun!

For this month, the prompt is:

“Invention. Arthurian. Priest.”

That’s it. Three words to inspire! This prompt was originally from February 2015.

Read all about it here: February’s Prompt, and read the original story created from this prompt here: Sir Gawain and the Priest.

Happy reading and writing today and every day!
